Over the years, many studios have tried to find ways to take the same idea that worked once, switch it around a bit and then re-market it as a sequel or even a remake
To start this new series, let’s feature a franchise that includes two sequels and a remake/reboot that became one of the highest grossing movies ever. Of course we’re talking about Jurassic Park.
When the original JP came out in 1993, everyone was talking about it before it even hit the theaters, and then what Steven Spielberg was able to do was breathtaking. The two sequels weren’t as popular as the original or the recent remake/reboot and the reason is simple; they both just weren’t entertaining enough. It’s easy to see the trend here for this franchise which is both good and bad.
