Miss You Already (2015)

miss you“Think of it as an adventure” – Milly

Number of Times Seen – 1 (10 Jan 2016)

Brief Synopsis –Two best friends must find a way to deal when one of them is diagnosed with Breast Cancer

My Take on it –I knew absolutely nothing about this film before I watched it and was very pleasantly surprised as to how enjoyable it was.

The chemistry between leads Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette helps make you believe that they truly have been friends for decades and we are easily pulled in to this engrossing story.

This movie actually feels like a modern remake of Beaches (1988) but sticks more to the genre of comedy instead of tear jerking drama.

Yes, there are moments of tears, but the way that the story is presented, it seems as if it was meant to raise spirits instead of lower them.

My one complaint is the way that the narration played out, but even that couldn’t ruin the fun one can have with a movie like this.

Bottom Line -Great chemistry between the two leads helps make this film more enjoyable to watch because you really can believe their friendship. In some ways, it feels like a modern remake of Beaches (1988) with a comic twist to it.  The way they did the narration was a bit off, but still didn’t ruin it completely. Great soundtrack! Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Jennifer Aniston was originally cast but after the project was delayed, she dropped out and Rachel Weisz was cast. Weisz also dropped out and Drew Barrymore replaced her. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy
