Number of Times Seen – 1 (25 Jan 2016)
Brief Synopsis – A piano player in the old west gets into trouble while playing in a saloon
My Take on it – Just because a movie is very short, doesn’t mean it can’t be good.
This is a great example by the legendary Harold Lloyd.
It has some really funny scenes set in a Western saloon and even watching it almost 100 years after it was made, still elicits laughter while watching.
Lloyd really was a comic genius and this is further proof that he knew what kind of things to do to make the audience laugh.
Bottom Line – Has some really funny scenes. Lloyd really knew how to make you laugh. Short but sweet.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Like many American films of the time, Two-Gun Gussie was subject to restrictions and cuts by city and state film censorship boards. For example, the Chicago Board of Censors cut the vulgar action of a man after being shot in the posterior (From Wikipedia)
Rating – Globe Worthy
