“We’re not gonna see anything bigger than a chipmunk!” – Alex
Number of Times Seen – 1 (6 Mar 2016)
Brief Synopsis – A young couple go camping in the woods not knowing that they are trespassing on the territory of a ferocious bear
My Take on it – After recently watching Grizzly Man (2005) and The Revenant (2015), I figured that a movie about camping and a bear encounter couldn’t be much worse, so I gave this one a try.
Well, it turns out that this movie is just your typical man vs. wild movie with a mediocre love story thrown in.
The characters are quite stereotypical here and there were few surprises along the way as to how they would act or react to anything that comes their way.
The one thing that does stand out here is the special effects because the creation of the bear seems quite realistic.
In the end tho, this is a very average film that doesn’t really add anything new.
Bottom Line – Typical man vs. wild movie that doesn’t really add much to the genre. Characters are not surprisingly stereotypical. Special Effects to create the bear are done very realistically. Nothing really special here, just an average kind of movie.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The film is set in fictional “Nibookaazo Provincial Park”, this can be seen written on the side of the canoe towards the end of the film. In the native North American Ojibwe language this translates into “Pretend to be Dead Provincial Park” (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy

I actually bought this a few months back but still haven’t seen it yet, if you are on a bear film marathon try Into the Grizzly Maze

there is a chance, i onlly suggest because of the cast including James Marsden, Thomas Jane and Billy Bob Thornton. they have to elude a killer bear that seems to be coming after humans because of hunting, slightly like Deep Blue Sea

lol that trivia is hilarious. I totally forgot about this movie coming out. Too bad it’s so average though. Probably not gonna bother seeking it out now

Nice trivia 🙂 I’ve thought about watching this so many times on Netflix but thought it sounded a bit mediocre.
