Number of movies seen from this year – 44
Number of movies reviewed – 48 (including 4 Encore Reviews)
I actually haven’t seen that many movies from 1970, but some of these truly are excellent and rank among the best of the whole decade.
6 of the ten are war movies
1 classic Shakespeare adaptation
1 Romance film
1 Drama
and 1 Disaster movie that helped create a new genre that was very prevalent in the 70’s

Being that these movies all came out 4 years before I was born, I never had the opportunity to see any of them in the theater.

Depressing movies can still be great 😉 debated putting KH as #1, but as amazing as it is, its hard to top Altman’s MASH

Very true! Remember that if I ever get you to see Grave of the Fireflies. 😉
As much as I love the TV show, I’ve never thought to see MASH the movie.
