1970

top ten

Number of movies seen from this year – 27
Number of movies reviewed – 20 (including 0 Encore Reviews)

I actually haven’t seen that many movies from 1970, but some of these truly are excellent and rank among the best of the whole decade.

6 of the ten are war movies

1 classic Shakespeare adaptation

1 Romance film

1 Drama

and 1 Disaster movie that helped create a new genre that was very prevalent in the 70’s

Being that these movies all came out 4 years before I was born, I never had the opportunity to see any of them in the theater.

Update 1 Mar 2017 – After having rewatched Love Story, it has now been bumped down to #9. Films 5-9 have been bumped up a slot.
