Tumbledown (2015)

tumbledownI see what’s going on here, you’re just a crazy person.” – Andrew

Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Apr 2016)

Brief Synopsis – The widow of a popular folk singer tries to get on with her life by writing a book about her late husband.

My Take on it – This is a heartwarming drama about love and loss and trying to move on in life.

The chemistry between the two leads Rebecca Hall and Jason Sudeikis works very well and their scenes together are great to watch.

The choice to not make this a typical rom-com was the right one and I liked that it felt like a romantic drama with some comedic overtones.

The small town feeling created here is great because it adds to the atmosphere if it all and makes the viewer feel even more at home when watching this.

Bottom Line – Sudeikis and Hall have great chemistry together and they work so well together. Loved how they created the small town atmosphere for this story to be told in and it makes the viewer feel very at home in the setting. Really liked how they made this a heartfelt drama filled with romance and comedy as opposed to going the path of rom-com. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Hannah’s red truck broke down frequently and for at least one scene had to be pushed down the street by crew members just out of frame. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy
