Temporal Top Ten – 1979

1979

top ten

Number of movies seen from this year – 64
Number of movies reviewed – 51 (including 0 Encore Reviews)

Once again this years top ten is a mix of old and recent favorites.

My #1 is a movie that I have loved for as long as I can remember.

#5, #6 and #10 are comedy favorites from my youth that I still find hilarious today.

#8 and #9 are both great thrillers that captivate throughout.

The rest of the list are 4 dramas that are all excellent in their own rights whether they tale place in the city, Vietnam or in Space.

Update 4 Dec 2017 – Time After Time has now become my #1 film of 1979, pushing down all subsequent films.

Update 1 Jan 2019 – Winter Kills has now been added to the list, pushing down all subsequent films.

  1. Rob: I feel like we know each other well enough now for me to tell you that you are obsessed with movies 😉 How do you file your watched movies to get stats like “Number of movies seen from this year – 52” That would take me a while to figure out. FYI Darren from Moviesreview101 and I are recording a podcast tomorrow. Watch for it. We’ll have to get you in on the next one. Happy Saturday!
