Time and Chance: Gerald Ford’s Appointment with History (2004)

time a chance“At a time when the country was suffering from the trauma of Watergate, it was Gerald Ford who took the nation from crisis to stability.” – Narrator

Number of Times Seen – 1 (6 Jun 2016)

Brief Synopsis – Biographical documentary of the life of the 38th US President who led the country in a time of despair.

My Take on it – As a fan of US Presidential history, I chose tho watch this film to learn more about one of the most misunderstood US Presidents.

This documentary is extremely informative and helps to explain how and why this man came to be the leader of the free world.

We get to see some excellent interviews with key Washington insiders who help us understand so much more than appears on the surface of this quiet and easy going man from my hone state of Michigan.

He is the only man to ever ascend to the two highest offices in US government but still never win an election for those roles.

Bottom Line – Very informative documentary that explains so much about this great man. We get an inside look as to why he was the perfect choice to be the only man to serve as both President and Vice President of the US without ever being elected. Excellent interviews with key people who tell us so much about the sole President hailing from ny home state of Michigan. Highly recommended!!!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – A documentary retrospective on America’s 38th president adapted in part from the book by James M. Cannon (From KET)

Rating – Oscar Worthy
