“When you shape the light of your ring, you walk in the footsteps of the first Lantern. ” – Hal Jordan
Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Jun 2016)
Brief Synopsis – As the Green Lantern Corps prepare for battle with a deadly enemy, Hal Jordan tells new recruit Arisia stories of some of the most heroic and powerful Lanterns of the past.
My Take on it – As a fan of Green Lantern, I was quite excited to see this movie because it tells us so much about other unknown heroic and powerful Lanterns over the centuries.
This helps give us a larger perspective as to how and why the Green Lantern Corps was formed and what they stand for.
As with most of the DC/WB animation collaborations, this film also gives us a great cast of voice actors playing the characters.
Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan, Jason Isaacs, Elizabeth Moss, Henry Rollins, Arnold Vosloo, Wade Williams, Kelly Hu, Mitchell Whitfield and Roddy Piper are all great here.
Each of the stories told are unique and give us much insight into the variety of heroes inducted into the Corps over the centuries and thus in turn gives us an interesting look at the makeup of the Corps.
Bottom Line – Great anthology of stories about lots of unknown Lanterns that gives us a larger perspective on how and why the Green Lantern Corp exists. Great voice actors once again help for another nicely done DC/WB animation production. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Nathan Fillion provides the voice of Hal Jordan. Fillion was the “star” of a popular homemade fan video that was designed as a fake trailer for a live-action Green Lantern film. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy

I’ve actually been some WB animated DC films on Netflix lately. Just to get geared up for the live action DC extended universe. This one sounds really interesting.
