“You know, after about five movies, I’m starting to realize that. ” – Silent Bob
Number of Times Seen – 2 (3 Nov 2001 and 20 Jun 2016)
Brief Synopsis – Jay and Silent Bob go on a road trip to Hollywood to try and stop Miramax for making a movie based on their comic-book alter-egos
My Take on it – In a kind of ironic twist, Jay and Silent Bob are back and this time trying to get to Hollywood.
Along the way, they reintroduce us to many of the characters from the previous movie sin the series and finally become the connecting force between them all.
I really enjoyed meeting up with some of the characters and finding out what has happened to them since they last appeared.
Jay and Silent Bob once again show us their heart but also their destructive nature as they take Hollywood by storm without losing any of their naughtiness that we all love about them.
As always with Writer/Director Kevin Smith’s work, we get a great script filled with amazing dialogue.
An added bonus is the plethora of pop culture and movie references that pop up all over the place, some of the best ones are Star Wars related (obviously).
I also loved how they have no qualms about continuously breaking the Fourth wall and having teh characters look at us (the audience) directly.
Excellent supporting cast and cameos as always!
Bottom Line – Once again a really fun outing with Jay and Silent Bob where we get to see them at their naughty and destructive best. Loved how this movie is the main connector between all the previous movies in the series and we get to see characters from all the movies together. Pop culture and movie references galore including some great Star Wars one. They also just LOVE breaking the 4th wall over and over again. Great suporting cast and lots of unexpected cameos. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This was the first film that both Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill (Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Saga) had appeared in together since Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983). Apparently neither of them knew the other was in the film until a few weeks after shooting had been completed. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy

Was also a great pointless answer on Pointless when Alexander Armstrong asked for films with Will Ferrell 🙂
“oh you are not upstaging me Van Der Beek!”
