Life Is Beautiful (2013)

life Number of Times Seen – 1 (10 Aug 2016)

Brief Synopsis – A short man ponders his life because he is different from every one else.

My Take on it – This is quite a clever film that in a mere 8 minutes, takes us into some very philosophical and theological questions about life and death.

We all are different and unique in the world and some people use that difference to their advantage and others see it as a disadvantage.

THis movie takes the story of one man and gives us a possible answer to what one can do with their differences.

The fact that there is no use of any kind of verbal language in this film helps to accentuate even more the universal message that this film tries to tell.

They used a pretty unique style of animation (to me at least) and this style has me mesmerized the whole time because it was so nice to watch as things happened all around the story.

My one complaint is that it was only 8 minutes long because when it was over, I wanted to still see more.

Bottom Line – Clever animated short that ventures into theological realm of life and death. The message that we get from this non verbal 8 minute film says so much about what people perceive as advantages and disadvantages in life. The unique animation style mesmerized me to the point where I became quite disappointed when it ended.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Won the Jury Award for Best Animated Short at the Tirana International Film Festival (From IMDB)
