“In the absence of proof, nobody can prove you’re guilty. Don’t worry about it.” – Bill Clinton
Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Aug 2016)
Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the political life of former US President Bill Clinton that traces his rise to the Presidency through his own personal flaws that nearly derailed his destiny with history.
Take on it – Being a fan of the history of US Presidents, I have been quite interested in seeing this 4 hour documentary for quite some time.
We all know about Bill Clinton’s Presidency, but this film goes into the full details of his entire political career from it’s infancy in the 1970’s through his retirement after serving two terms as President.
It’s very easy to see the pattern of his habits over the years and besides being able to make a huge impact on all of his constituents over the years, he also has major flaws that have marred him during all of those years.
They were able to get some very influential political figures to be interviewed for this film and the range of their expertise helps give us an even better idea of who the Clintons are and what has fueled them during the years.
We learn the ups and downs of this power couple during their political years and it gives us some real insights into it all.
Despite all of his numerous flaws, Bill Clinton’s charisma is what has helped him get thru it all no matter the controversy and it’s very easy to see how he rose so high even with those flaws.
Bottom Line – Superb documentary that gets down yo the nitty gritty if who Bill and Hillary Clinton really are. Spans the political career of the former Pres from the early 1970’s until his retirement following 8 years in the White House. The range of people interviewed is quite vast and gives us so much insight into the political life and the ups and downs of this extremely powerful and popular couple. Despite his flaws, Bill is extremely charismatic and its understandable how he reached such political heights. Highly Recommended!
