Down to You came out during a time when the teenage rom-coms were riding a lot of successful thanks to these two leading stars. As realistic as this film’s story is, it lacks the chemistry you would expect for two people
who
break up and struggle to get back together. Surrounded by a solid cast, Down to You doesn’t leave a long-lasting impression and forces to you pick sides in the break up despite not liking either of them.
In the event anyone questions why I choose this film, I selected Down to You because their relationship is real. It has many high points, a few low points, and events force the couple to reevaluate where they are as people and as a couple. We see these types of relationships every day whether it is with someone we know or through a mutual friend who knows someone. I thought it fit the realistic feel that was selected for this month’s GG!!
