Boiling Pot (2015)

boiling-pot“Our biggest flaw is not that we make mistakes. It’s that we don’t know when we make them.” – Valerie Davis

Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 Nov 2016)

Brief Synopsis – Racial tension on a University campus leads to tragedy and the question remains as to who is to blame.

My Take on it – The premise of this really intrigued me but the way it is handled is quite disappointing.

They try too hard to throw too much conflict and tension into the story in order to make it seem more complicated and intricate, but in the end it all just feels like smoke and mirrors.

The way that the film moves along feels too contrived and it all feels quite flat at the end.

Even the likes of Louis Gosset Jr., M. Emmet Walsh and Keith David in important roles doesnt help one bit.

Bottom Line – Intersting idea that just doesn’t pan out  They try too hard to make it feel even more intricate a plot than there really is. Leaves you feeling completely flat in the end which is a bit unfortunate.
