Number of Times Seen – 1 (15 Jan 2017)

Brief Synopsis – A wizard arrives in New York during the 1920’s in order to return a magical creature to it’s homeland in Arizona but gets caught up in a conspiracy involving the potential exposure of the Wizardry World to the human world.

My Take on it – Being a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, I was looking forward to this film for quite some time.

I’m glad I finally got to see it and once again be immersed in the world of Wizards.

Loved the fact that they decided to introduce us to the way of Wizards living in the US in the 1920’s because the change of era and location give them so much to potentially work with.

The new characters are great to watch and they managed to create unique characters that we can relate to and enjoy watching.

The cast is great and I look forward to following the paths of the characters they embody for many years to come in the planned sequels.

Eddie Redmond has emerged lately as a great and diverse actor and his career seems like one to watch over the years to come.

Amazing special effects work really well in immersing us back into this world of magic and mystery and make it all seem even more realistic feeling.

Bottom Line – Nice to be back in Harry Potter’s world and being able to see what happens in America instead of just England.  Great new characters give us an excellent unique look at the Wizardry World of the 1920’s.  Fun cast filled with people we can look forward to seeing for years to come in the planned sequels. Amazing special effects makes the magic come alive. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Within the Harry Potter universe, Newt Scamander’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” was first published in 1927 and became a massive bestseller, as well as an approved textbook at Hogwarts. By the mid-1990s, when the Harry Potter series is set, it was in its 52nd edition. Scamander also has the distinct honor of having his own Chocolate Frog Card. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy
