Thanks again to Catherine of Thoughts All Sorts for choosing this month’s genre.
Next month’s Genre has been chosen by Sean of SeanMunger.com We will be reviewing our favorite Nautical Film.
“Loosely defined as anything taking place in, on or under the sea or heavily involving the sea.
Representative examples might include stuff like Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Hunt For Red October, The Enemy Below, Damn the Defiant!, Cast Away, that sort of thing.”

Try to think out of the box! Great choice Sean!
Let’s see what Ryan thought of this movie:
Labeled as a western, Frontera was on my watch list because it focuses on a murder along the US/Mexico border and starred Ed Harris and Michael Pena. Sadly this movie was a complete bust and in no way shape or form should be called a “western”. Just because the setting is the deserts of Arizona and people wear cowboy hats doesn’t mean it is a western. This movie is all about immigration, the darkest side of immigration. The law is always flawed for illegals and this could be the poster film for how messed up the southern borders of America really are.
