“This is clearly a loving daughter who will do anything for her mother and she’s really wrestling and struggling and sometimes, it’s just too much for one person to make a decision like this on her own. ” – Doctor
Number of Times Seen – 1 (15 Feb 2017)
Brief Synopsis – Documentary about two families that need to make end of life decisions for their loved ones.
My Take on it – I had no idea what to expect from this film and was surprised at how hardhitting this film turned out to be.
Thet really take us into the heart of the hospital and give us the rare opportunity to feel like a fly on the wall as the doctors and relatives discuss making hard and difficult decisions.
It is quite wasy to forget that there is a camera separating us from being an active part of this debate instead of just being able to eavesdrop on it all.
My biggest problem with this film is the fact that it feels too short for a subject like this and seemingly ends too abruptly thus spoiling the potential of expanding this idea even more
Bottom Line – Very hardhitting documentary that takes us into the heart of a hospital ICU where we get to eavesdrop while doctors and relatives discuss what needs to be done. Great fly one the wall feeling because we feel as if the camera isn’t there and that we are standing right there in the middle of this debate. The film feels way too short and seems to end too abruptly. I think that so much more could have been done with this premise. Recommended!
