Escape From Alcatraz (1979)
8/10
Clint Eastwood has done it all when it comes to movies, so no one would be the least bit surprised to see him try to escape from the only place that it wasn’t possible – Alcatraz. I try to watch this movie a couple of times a year because I admire Eastwood’s brilliance as a sly and cocky guy who is quite the mastermind. His character’s attitude makes me laugh, it is so dry and heartless, you can see why he’s been so successful inside and outside of the walls. When I think of prison movies or hear about prison breaks in the news, my mind always reverts back to this movie, a true classic.
