Sleepless (2017)

Brief Synopsis – A dirty cop has a few hours to recover stolen drugs after his son is kidnapped by a local drug lord

My Take on it – This is another film that can be added to a long list of movies that may seem good on paper, but ultimately completely fail at trying to entertain and stay coherent.

This film was a really boring and silly film because so many aspects of it just don’t work the way they should.

The cast also seems amazing, but even the likes of Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan and David Harbour can’t help this film from being so absurdly wrong.

They have numerous parallel storylines that intermingle in many places which they shouldn’t and things become quite incoherent every now and then mainly due to poor editing.

Much of the plot twist could be seen a mile away and there really were no surprises along the way.

I just wanted this one to end as soon as possible….

Bottom Line – Completely boring and silly film. Even with some great cast members, it still doesn’t work for us to believe the absurdity of it all. The multiple storylines intermingle a bit too much and that probably has to do with the fact that they edited the scenes in the incorrect order every so often.  Very predicatable storyline that offers no real surprises. I just wanted this one to end….
