Lego Star Wars: Revenge of the Brick (2005)

Number of Times Seen – 1 (12 Jun 2017)

Brief Synopsis – Anakin and Obi-Won are sent on a mission to defend Chewbacca’s homeworld of Kashyyyk when it is attacked by the Separatists.

My Take on it – I am so happy that I have found this series of short films because being an avid Star Wars fan, it’s so much fun watching true parodies that have the strong feeling and essence of the Star Wars universe that it’s easy to see how much love and admiration went into making this film.

Loved the way that they are able to have characters utilize their powers of the Force in order to transform and reshape ships and other objects when needing a new vehicle or such.

They once again do an amazing job of parodying Star Wars scenes to the tee and I especially loved what they did at the end with the Imperial March.

I’m still amazed at how authentically detailed each piece of Lego seems and how they much have really built all of the vehicles and sets purely using Lego pieces as examples of how to do this.

The music is great and helps the story move along without any need for real dialogue.

Can’t wait to see more of these!

Bottom Line – Another win for Lego Star Wars because they manage to give us the essence of a Star Wars adventure solely by using pieces of Lego.  The added trick of using the Force on Lego items to make them transform is so fun to watch.  Such an amazing parody of all things Star Wars including the finale with the Imperial March. Highly Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The spoof was produced by Treehouse Animation, which has since collaborated again with Lego on producing Batman short films similar to it. Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy of Star Wars films, was involved in the creation of this project and narrates a “making-of” feature on the website.  According to Hamill, “as the original Luke Skywalker, I think I know something about making Star Wars movies. So the fit with Treehouse [Animations] made perfect sense.” (From Wikipedia)
