“You don’t need to send a man to do a woman’s job. ” – Gisele
Number of Times Seen – 1 (7 Sep 2017)
Brief Synopsis – The team tries to pull off a massive Bank heist in Brazil in order to get back at a powerful drug dealer while being chased by a relentless Federal Agent
My Take on it – After having watched 4 films in the series, I was pleasantly surprised how this film really hits the mark on so many levels to give us such a satisfying film.
This, IMHO, is the best film in the franchise so far because it gives us everything we could want or expect from a film like this.
The addition of The Rock to the storyline is great because he is perfect for his role as a relentless pursuer of evil while keeping his boy scout persona the whole time.
I personally am not a fan of most of his work, but he is great in the role he was given in this franchise.
Loved how they easily raised the bar by having both sides of the law pursue the crew as they try to pull off their most daring heist yet.
Really enjoyed how they finally put together the whole team and show us that they have everything covered when it comes to trying to pull off the perfect heist.
They superbly shot all of the action scenes and the Vault scenes in particular are spectacular because its so thrilling and fun to watch despite being probably impossible. 🙂
These scenes are so enjoyable to watch from both an action packed and technical perspective.
Let’s hope they keep making the films in this way!
Bottom Line – The best of the entire series (so far). The addition of The Rock to the franchise helps raise the bar while the team is pursued by both sides of the law. The way they finally put the entire team together helps create a near perfect team. The action scenes are superbly shot and the vault scenes are spectacular to watch unfold from both a technical and action packed perspective. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Hobbs and his team are looking at a traffic cam picture of Dom’s car. They can’t make out the faces of the occupants because their faces are covered. Hobbs says to use FRS (Facial Recognition Software). The occupants’ photos pop up and show that they are “Dominic Toretto” and “Han Seoul-Oh” (Han Solo). Maybe Han’s other vehicle is the Millennium Falcon. Hobbs also says that they can change their names but not their faces, so maybe this is an alias. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy

Agreed…best of the series. My favourite of the lot. Followed by Fast 6. 7 and 8…not my favourites at all. Prefer the first to seven and eight.
