  1. Very glad to see 61 so high on the list. What an outstanding movie, that is. Doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge Yankees fan. That fact also makes it sad that I haven’t seen Pride of the Yankees. Some other good baseball movies:

The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings
    Eight Men Out
    The Sandlot
    The Bad News Bears
    42
    Sugar
    Soul of the Game

  2. I didn’t put *61 on my list (even though I once played softball against Billy Crystal) because it was made for HBO – and not a feature film. So my list would be:
    1). BULL DURHAM
    2). Field of Dreams
    3).EIGHT MEN OUT
    4). The Bad News Bears
5). A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN
    6). The Rookie
    7). THE NATURAL
    8). 42
    9). Pride of the Yankees
    10). MAJOR LEAGUE
