  1. When I saw “spoof/parody” films – I thought of the Wayans Brothers crappola – which I don’t consider writing – just ripoffs of other peoples work. But having seen your list – I’ll concur on most anything Mel Brooks (Silent Movie had its moments) as well as Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, Airplane (which got most of them started) and certainly Spinal Tap (actually was living in LA when that came out and my agent took me to an early screening and I met Rob Reiner and some of the cast. They even gave me a Spinal Tap pin).

  2. Great list. History of the World is the only one I haven’t seen for some reason.
I love Mel Brooks and it’s good to see one of the Monty P’s in there (Life of Brian would be on my list as well).
Blazing Saddles would be my No. 1
