This is my 3448th Review
Thanks to SG of Rhyme and Reason for this recommendation.
Here are his thoughts on the film.
“A dream will always be deceived by reality. ” – Marco
Number of Times Seen – 1 (10 Oct 2017)
Brief Synopsis – After a worldwide epidemic begins to destroy the population, a biotech company creates a way to put survivors into hibernation, but when they wake up from their slumber things are not what they expected.
My Take on it – This is a film that I had never heard of before it was recommended to me.
As SG (and most of you already know), I’m not the biggest fan of anime animated films and they always jar me a bit every time I see one of the films.
As always, I chose to watch the dubbed version of this since watching Anime is already a distraction for me so I preferred to also avoid the added distraction of having to read subtitles as the action moves along.
This film is filled with twists and turns the whole way through and things keep evolving and changing all the way until the end.
This helps keep things mysterious and thrilling throughout.
The story itself is great and I loved the way that this film is able to combine elements from Sleeping Beauty and a dystopian future where the characters themselves aren’t even aware of what has happened to them and how.
I have heard that the comic that this film is based on is so much better and explains much more about the background of the characters which supposedly would help the viewer (or reader actually) care much more about the characters.
Maybe one day, I will find the time to read the Manga it was based on.
Bottom Line – Great idea, but as always with me, the anime animation was too much of a distraction for me to enjoy it even more. The twists and turns keep coming the entire time and even towards the end, we never can be sure of what is really happening. This actually helps make things more thrilling. The story itself is a great one and they do a great job of creating a dystopian future where all of the characters aren’t even sure what is going on. Loved the Sleeping Beauty references throughout. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – When looking at the computers in the security room, “October” is misspelled as “Octorber”. (From IMDB)

Awesome! I’m glad you enjoyed the story, even if the animation was a drawback. It’s such an underrated movie that I’m just glad someone besides me appreciated it.
