Movies From the Hat 7!

Well, It’s that time again.

I am inching quite close to my next movie review milestone (4000), so I started to contemplate how I could do justice for this big milestone.

I wanted to do something a bit different, but I also wanted to find a way to get all of you involved, so I decided to go with what already worked in the past.

The last four times that I did something big for milestones (1000, 1500 2000, 2500, 3000 and 3500), I chose to let you, my readers choose movies for me to watch and review.

I randomly chose each selected movie from a hat and watched them in the order that I picked them.

This method was chosen in homage to my favorite game on Whose Line is it Anyway? Scenes From the Hat.

This time around, I decided to try and expand my list of recommendations and thankfully, the response was so much better than I had hoped and I got 55 different followers to express their interest which would carry me from review #3945 thru 4000 and what resulted will be revealed in the coming days and weeks.

Now I have 55 movie choices to watch and review.

The vast majority are movies that I’ve never seen before, a handful I’ve seen in part or only one time and one or two are movies that I haven’t seen in years and decided to watch again based on the recommendations I received.

Later today, I will start posting my reviews as I count down to review #4000

I hope I enjoy the films chosen and moreover, I hope you all enjoy reading my reviews of them.

As an added bonus, I will also provide links to the reviews of each movie that was recommended to me by the recommender (where available) in order to give another view of each movie I review.

As always, none of this would be possible without the help and support of all of you fellow bloggers, so a HUGE thanks to all of you for your help, encouragement, suggestions, constructive criticism and above all, your presence on my site.

I also would like to dedicate this group of reviews to my good friend Bradley S. who participated in the past in this series and unfortunately passed away at the young age of 38 after a long illness at the end of last month. I’ve known Brad for over 30 years and he was like a little brother to me.  We always had long conversations about sci-fi Tv and movies and I will miss those conversations with him.

RIP Little bro!

Let the reviews begin!!!
