211 (2018)

“Will you shut that thing off.. Everywhere I go, I got a camera in my face.” – Mike Chandler

Number of Times Seen – 1 (11 Jun 2018)

Brief Synopsis – A typical police ride-along for a student turns into a nightmare when a group of soldiers rob a bank in a small town.

My Take on it – I saw the trailer for this film right before seeing Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) and it looked interesting.

This is a case of a film creating a trailer using most of the good parts of a terrible film on the unsuspecting public.

This film is horrendous and doesn’t work at all on any level.

None of the characters in the film are interesting to watch and they are largely made up of pure stereotypes.

The story doesn’t work at all and even scenes that might be heartfelt come across as being just plain silly.

I’ve personally never been a fan of Nicolas Cage or most of his movies, but this one was so bad that I even expected more from him, hoping that even he would find a way to avoid signing on for a film with such a silly plot like this.

Bottom Line – Terrible idea that doesn’t work at all. The trailer looked good, but they somehow put together a coherent trailer from the rest of the crappy scenes in this film to make it seem worthwhile. None of the characters are interesting to watch and they are largely made up of pure stereotypes. I’ve never been a fan of Cage, but I figured that even he would avoid making films like this one.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Nicolas Cage broke his ankle whilst filming the movie in Bulgaria, resulting in being out of action for two weeks. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
