This is the third of 6 films that I was “forced” to watch by my fellow bloggers who participated in my Blogiversary Contest back in April. This movie was chosen by SG. Tnx for the suggestion. Let’s see what I thought of it….
Number of Times Seen – 1 (12 Nov 2018)
Brief Synopsis – A young man trying to find meaning in his life keeps waking up and finding strange messages written on his mirror and must try and discover where they are coming from.
My Take on it – This is yet another film that I was “forced” to watch that I knew absolutely nothing about beforehand.
It’s a fun and enjoyable low budget rom-com that gets a lot right in the way that it depicts things.
The characters themselves are quite interesting to watch because they are simple people living simple lives in the complex world we all live in.
They do a great job alluding to the fact that this story has sci-fi elements surrounding it including methods of time travel yet since nothing is explained plainly, it leaves things quite fascinating to watch as they unfold before out eyes.
Things can be understood from various perspectives due to this ambiguity and that actually allows for the viewer to ponder the events and the way things play out over and over long after the credits have rolled.
The story can be interpreted in numerous ways and that helps leave a lasting impression of it all.
Bottom Line – Fun and enjoyable low budget rom-com that works quiet well. The characters are interesting and we get an idea of how they live their simple lives. The way that the story alludes to ideas of sci-fi and a form of time travel are fascinating to watch unfold especially since they aren’t fully explained and allow us to try and understand them on our own. This film leaves the viewer with so much to ponder afterwards and it is the kind of story that can be discussed for hours upon hours since so much is left to personal interpretation of things. Recommended!
