Number of Times Seen – 1 (31 Jan 2019)
Brief Synopsis – A 16 year old coming of age in a small Texas town tries to find love and happiness while seeking direction despite the complexities of living in a Border town.
My Take on it – This is a film that was suggested to me recently and despite it sounding a bit strange, I decided to still give it a try to see what it was all about.
This is a truly horrific and horrendous film because it just meanders along through a near 2 hour run time.
They don’t manage to make any of the characters interesting or sympathetic and so much of this film makes no sense what so ever because there is no real corresponding plot.
This is the kind of film that should probably have been distributed on the Spice Channel or the equivalent because that’s where most people go to watch bad acting, plot-less film that involve a high level of meaningless and random screwing.
This films story isn’t focused at all and they jump around between too many of the characters instead of making any one of them the main focal point of the story.
The biggest problem with this film is that one would expect for a film like this to find various connections later on in the story, but even with that, they don’t succeed and that also makes things even stranger and confusing.
This is a really boring film where they don’t even manage to find a way to make the abundant sex scenes even feel interesting since this is entirely void of substance from start to finish.
Bottom Line – Horrendous movie that meanders along for nearly two hours. None of the characters are interesting and so much of this film makes so little sense, it could have been distributed on the Spice channel because that’s where films without plots yet have lots of screwing usually appear. The story doesn’t manage to stay focused on any of the characters and skips around between the various character the whole time. The problem is that one expects things to come full swing around at some point, yet it doesn’t succeed and just makes things even more strange and confusing. Completely boring film where even the sex scenes are done poorly and lack anything interesting or substance to them.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Larry Clark released the film on his website as he was tired of dealing with distributors. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (2/10)
