Number of Times Seen – 1 (3 Dec 2019)

Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the life of John McCain who whenever faced with adversary, found the strength to fight against it and prevail.

My Take on it – This is a film that I came across by accident and was drawn to by the fact that I have always admired John McCain and all that he stood for.

This is an amazing film that does a wonderful job in allowing us to see deeper into this man’s life since he made such an impact on so many people and events in the world during his lifetime.

The perception of him being a boy-scout who always clung to the notion of honor and fair play in all that he did shines through in almost all of the events of his life.

Even when he hit hard times in his life, his ability to raise himself and others around him up was always due to these qualities that he possessed.

AS a statesman and politician, he was well liked by people on both sides of the political spectrum and even his most staunch adversaries always respected the man even if they disagreed on the policies and ways of doing things.

Some of his best friends were from the other side of the political arena and these qualities even shines through both times that he ran for President (in 2000 and in 2008).

This film;s story is told in a very fascinating and educational way that allows us to get a clear idea of who this man was and why he was able to be such an impactful figure on America and the world during his lifetime.

Bottom Line – Amazing documentary that gives us a very clear view of the life of this man who made such an impact in so many fields during his lifetime. His honor and fair play tactics can be seen throughout al of the events of his life and even when he hit rock bottom, he was able to raise himself and others up based on those qualities. As a politician he was respected by all no matter their political views and remained friends with political adversaries throughout his career in the Senate and during both of his races for the Presidency in 2000 and in 2008. This story is told in a fascinating way and allows us to gain so much insight into his life. Highly Recommended!
