Number of Times Seen – 1 (4 Dec 2019)
Brief Synopsis – The Suicide Squad is sent on a mission to find a mystical artifact that can grant powers to its holder upon his death.
My Take on it – As a fan of film in the DC Universe, I was quite curious to see how they would continue the story of The Suicide Squad.
This is a very fun film that finds a way to create a very thrilling and interesting story that stays enjoyable throughout especially due to the fact that the characters are all very expendable.
This raises the level of suspense because you never know which of them (if any) will make it through the story alive.
The plot of the story is quite unique and feels so fresh and original in the way things play out for these characters as they must deal with the various situations that they encounter along the way.
Things are quite unpredictable along the way and that helps keep this so much more enjoyable to watch unfold since it goes in completely unexpected directions.
The choice to make this a Rated R animated movie makes it quite controversial yet they find a way to deal with the language and other adult content in a way that helps make the dark crime world depicted actually seem even more realistic.
Can’t wait to see what other adventures they have planned for these characters in the future….
Bottom Line – Fun film that manages to create a thrilling and interesting story with these characters who are completely expendable which raises the level of suspense because we never know who will make it out of this scenario alive. The plot is quite unique and original and allows for these characters and the situations that they encounter to flourish because things are so unpredictable in the way things are presented. Interesting to see how this movie deals with language and adult type content which makes things more realistic for the dark world of crime as depicted. Looking forward to seeing more of these characters in the future. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This is the fourth DC Animated to be rated R by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association Of America) after “Batman: The Killing Joke”, “Justice League Dark” and “Batman: Gotham by Gaslight”. It is however the second film to be given an MA15+ rating by the ACB (Australian Classification Board) after “Batman: The Killing Joke”. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (8/10)
