Number of Times Seen – 1 (23 Feb 2020)
Brief Synopsis – After a successful banker’s fiancee falls in love with his best friend, their relationship will never be the same again.
My Take on it – This is a film that I have been avoiding for years ever since I saw The Diasaster Artist (2017).
This is the film that that movie is based on and it’s even worse than I had anticipated.
The story is quite laughable and makes absolutely no sense what so ever.
The acting is too wooden and it’s so hard to take any of the cast seriously in all that they do.
The film is filled with numerous love scenes that don’t add to the plot at all and look so fake.
The characters are all completely underdeveloped and they all seem very one dimensional in all that they do.
They all look nice (except Tommy Wiseau) and even that doesn’t help make this more enjoyable to watch.
This film is notorious known as being one of the worst films ever and after having now seen it,. I can definitely agree with that sentiment since it was torturous getting through.
Bottom Line – Horrendously laughable film that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The acting is beyond terrible and the plot seems to go nowhere the entire time. The characters are all very one dimensional and it seems as if they are all there just to try and look nice because they don’t manage to make this film seem enjoyable in any way. The film has a few love scenes that are atrocious and don’t help move the story along at all especially since they seem so fake. This is notoriously known as one of the worst movies ever made and after having seen it, I can’t argue with that statement at all.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – According to Greg Sestero, Tommy Wiseau submitted the film to Paramount, hoping to get them as the distributor. Usually, it takes about two weeks to get a reply. This movie however was rejected within 24 hours. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (1/10)

Ouch, 24 hours, lol. I heard “The Room” was really, really bad, but this is truly dismal. Thanks again for joining the blogathon, Rob–it was a pleasure as always. 🙂

I LOVED the trivia! Not even a second thought from Paramount…
I watched only The Disaster Artist… and after reading your review I think I’ll avoid The Room.
Cheers!
