“Excuse me, Lieberman. Can we get something straight. Your not the type to get foolish over a working girl, are you?” – Shaleen
Number of Times Seen –Twice (30 Aug 1999 and 20 May 2020)
Brief Synopsis – A wealthy man gets a high priced call girl to help him win over the heart of a married woman that he has fallen in love with.
Bottom Line – Really fun film that works so well. Danny Aiello and Christine Lahti are both superb in the lead roles and have amazing chemistry throughout which enhances the story so much. This is a short film, yet they manage to tell such a deep story that is quite enjoyable to watch unfold. Very deserving of its Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Author W.P. Kinsella was unaware that his short story had been made into a film by Christine Lahti until he saw the film win an Oscar for Best Live Action Short on The 68th Annual Academy Awards (1996) telecast. (From IMDB)
Rating – Oscar Worthy (9/10)
