Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 May 2020)
Brief Synopsis – While attempted to escape occupied France, a man falls in love with the wife of the man who’s identity he has taken over.
Bottom Line – Great premise that fails to work at all. The idea of taking over the identity of someone else, yet also to take on their problems is great, but this film fails to make things more intriguing to watch. The way that they deal with a story taking place in the modern day doesn’t work due to the ambiguous ways that certain aspects of the story are dealt with.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – The film is a World War II allegory set in modern times. It is based on a novel set during WW2 in Nazi-occupied France. While the plot remains unchanged the era the movie is set in is changed to be the 21st century. To compensate for this, some elements of the plot are left vague such as who exactly is the occupying force. (From IMDB)
Rating – Razzie Worthy (3/10)
