Peter Pan (1924)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“That boy may come back for his shadow. ” – Mrs. Darling

Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Jun 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A young fairy enters the house of a young family and takes the children to a magical world where they can do so many fun things.

Bottom Line – Really fun version of this classic tale. They are able to utilize early special effects quite well in establishing the various powers of the fairies and the magical world of Never Never Land. The fact that this is a silent film that needs to make use of title cards takes away a bit from the way that this story need to flow more smoothly. Nice to see that such a story was still pretty effective even nearly a century ago. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This was the first time that Tinkerbell was played by an actress as opposed to simply a spotlight on the stage. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
