You Made Me Love You (1933)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“Will you marry me?” – Tom Daley

“Marry YOU???” – Pamela Berne

Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Jun 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A rich man pretends to not have any money in order to help his daughter marry a musician.

Bottom Line – Really boring film that fails to work on so many levels. The characters all feel far too superficial and none are developed at all. The story itself moves along at a very strange pace that doesn’t allow for us to try and care about anything that happens as things move along. The cast is unfortunately not given enough to do and the jokes just aren’t able to hit their mark at all which is quite a shame.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In 1935, according to author Michelle Morgan, Thelma Todd claimed “You Made Me Love You” was the only film she enjoyed making. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (3/10)
