Brief Synopsis – During a trip to a lake house with her father, a young girl must use her wits in order to outsmart a group of escaped criminals who are seeking a hidden key located in their house.

My Take on it – This is a film that I came across by accident and knew nothing about.

They find a way to keep a premise like this one extremely fun and there is always a constant feeling that this is a perfect mix of both Home Alone (1990) and Die Hard (1988).

There are a few scenes here that go a bit too far and things become quite gory in the way things are presented, but overall it is effective the whole way through.

Lulu Wilson is perfectly cast in the lead role and is able to hold her own throughout the story.

Kevin James is also superb here and he plays against type here by playing a vicious and brutal criminal instead of the jolly funnyman we are use to.

The story is paced really well and the tight 90 minute runtime is perfect for keeping things entertaining and enjoyable the whole way through.

Bottom Line – Really fun film that is a great mix of Home Alone (1990) and Die Hard (1988). The story gets a bit too gory at certain instances but is still effective throughout. Wilson is perfectly cast in this unique role ad does a wondrous job with what she is given. James is also superb here in a role that is so far from the kind he usually plays because his character is vicious and thorough in all that he does. The story is paced really well and the tight 90 minute runtime helps make things stay enjoyable from start to finish. Recommended!
