I See You (2019)

“And What Does That Make You? Some Sort Of Vigilante? ” – Greg

Number of Times Seen – 1 (2 Aug 2020)

Brief Synopsis – As a detective tries to solve the case of a young boy’s disappearance, strange things happen in his town and in his house.

My Take on it – This is a film that I knew nothing about before coming across it besides the amazing cast.

The story starts off really well and stays gripping throughout.

They do a wonderful job developing these characters in a slow way which helps make the story even more powerful as it moves along.

They are ale to keep things quite intriguing and mysterious as we get to see things happen before our eyes that are shown in a seemingly ambiguous way.

The way that the film shows the same story from varying perspectives is done really well because it is quite eye opening to watch it all unfold.

Love the way that this film switches back and forth between being a supernatural thriller and a police procedural and makes us wonder throughout what the true genre of the story really is.

The film’s cast is superb and Helen Hunt and Jon Tenny are both amazing in these complex roles.

The twists and turns in this story are great because they help add a while new level of enjoyment to watching because not everything is always as it seems which is quite fascinating to experience.

Bottom Line – Great idea that works on numerous levels. The characters are developed really slowly and that helps us take in every thing that is happening. The way that the story unfolds keep things very intriguing and mysterious which adds so much to it all. The film does a wonderful job showing the same story from varying perspectives which is quite eye opening because it switches back and forth between being a supernatural thriller and from being a normal police procedural. The cast is great and add another layer of enjoyment to the story as it unfolds before our eyes. The film is filled with some great twists and turns that help make things so much more enjoyable and entertaining to watch. Recommended!
