Brief Synopsis – An inventor working on an advanced form of Artificial Intelligence gets into trouble with his employers when they begin to realize what he has been trying to achieve.
My Take on it – This is a film that I came across by accident and was intrigued by the overall premise.
This film asks a very big question and has some trouble finding an appropriate answer.
The premise itself limps along throughout yet still finds a way to stay gripping and thought provoking.
They are able to bring forth some very intricate philosophical, psychological and moral questions by the way that the story progresses and they definitely are able to leave the viewer with much to think over.
The way that this film’s plot deals with advancing technologies and how they could possibly change the way we lead our lives in so many ways is shown here.
They actually show us some methods and ideas that one would never expect to be approached which is refreshing to see.
The film uses minimal special effects yet they help keep things seeming quite realistic along the way.
The story takes a few turns along the way that convoluted the plot far too much and they never are able to find a way to extricate themselves fro this dilemma because they fail to find a satisfying resolution to the various issues brought up along the way.
The cast is fine, yet no one really stands out among the rest.
