This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“Well, what I say and what people hear aren’t always the same thing. Don’t you find that in your calling, Doctor?” – Maria Lemke
Number of Times Seen – 1 (4 Aug 2020)
Brief Synopsis – The new wife f a local butcher seems to have some kind of positive aura around her that begins to help the lives of all of those around her.
Bottom Line – Fun and quirky characters help keep the story fun even if there really isn’t much to hang on to here. The film has a great and talented cast, but the way that the story plays out doesn’t really give any of them enough to do here. The plot moves in some very strange directions and that doesn’t make things as enjoyable to watch.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – According to her 2019 memoir “Inside Out”, Moore regretted starring in the film, vowing it would be the last time she’d only work for money. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
