Brief Synopsis – Documentary that tries to understand why women have been treated a certain way in Hollywood throughout movie history and tries to find a way to change things.
Bottom Line – Amazing documentary that does a wonderful job chronicling the way women have been treated in the film industry over the past century and how things have finally come to point where change is needed. They give us some great interviews with some of the most prominent women in modern film who help explain why they constantly do all that they can to change the system. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Although a large part of this documentary focuses on the fact that female directors do not get work and have trouble getting hired, the director of this film, Tom Donahue, was male. (From IMDB)
