Ava (2020)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“You should choose carefully what you tell me, Ava. ‘Cause you can’t un-say it and I can’t un-hear it.’ – Bobbi

Number of Times Seen – 1 (21 Aug 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A government assassin becomes the target of other government agents which forces her to fight for her survival no matter the cost.

Bottom Line – Fun action film that unfortunate doesn’t manage to bring anything really new to the genre. Jessica Chastain is great in the title role and manages to make things seem quiet realistic especially during her action scenes. The supporting cast is also great with John Malkovich and Geena Davis helping things along. In addition, Common and Colin Farrell are added to the mix and raise the level of the story a bit. The film has some great action scenes that are choreographed really well even if the story itself is a bit too predictable along the way. Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In between takes, Jessica Chastain hosted dance parties and exercise classes for the crew. (From IMDB)

Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
