This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“And most importantly, they showed us that no matter whom we choose to love, be they heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, bisexual, trisexual, quadrisexual, pansexual, transexual, omnisexual or that thing where the chick ties the belt around your neck and tinkles on a ballon, it has absolutely nothing to do with who we are as people.” – Captain Phineas J. Tucker
Number of Times Seen – Twice (2 Sep 2007 and 8 Sep 2020)
Brief Synopsis – In order to gain extra city benefits, two firemen get married and pretend to be gay lovers.
Bottom Line – Intriguing, yet silly premise that fails to work at all. Adam Sandler and Kevin James have great chemistry together, but it’s pretty difficult to imagine them as a couple like what is shown here. Te film has a few funny scenes and line,s but overall, it’s a one joke film that keeps repeating itself to a point where it no longer is funny as all.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Dan Aykroyd approached Adam Sandler and respectfully requested to change some of his lines. Sandler thought the material Aykroyd came up with was hilarious, so he was allowed to do so. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
