“As my dear dead Saul used to say, “It isn’t a silver lining what makes the coat. It’s the person wearing it.”” – Mrs. Goldstein

Number of Times Seen – 1 (15 Sep 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A struggling journalist is given the task of writing an editorial to respond to the request of a young girl who wishes to know if Santa Claus is real or not.

Bottom Line – Fascinating story that is presented quite superficially, yet still works quite well. The premise is great and the fact that it’s based on fact enhances things a bit Charles Bronson is superb in the lead role especially given the fact that one wouldn’t usually expect him to be in such a role. The message of the film is great and rings true throughout.  The way that Bronson’s character must deal with his own personal issues and strife while trying to find an answer to this young girl’s question is done in a very profound way. Recommended!
