This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“This is outrageous, this is so horrible. Of course people flocked to see it. There were lines outside the theater every time someone condemned it for being too dirty.” – Margaret Cho
Number of Times Seen – 1 (24 Sep 2020)
Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the Mae West, an acts who always pushed the envelope in all that she did.
Bottom Line – Really fun film that is able to show how risque Mae West was with everything that she did. She became such an inspiration for women in entertainment because she was able to accomplish so much during her career. The film doesn’t shy away from showing who she was and that helps make things so very interesting to watch here. Recommended!
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – During World War II, United States Navy and Army pilots and crewmen in the Pacific named their inflatable life vests after her, supposedly because of her well-endowed attributes. The term “Mae West” for a lifejacket continues to this day. (From IMDB)
Rating – Globe Worthy (7/10)
