This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!
“[after punching a radical who insulted him] He bumped into a chair. ” – McQ
Number of Times Seen – 1 (24 Sep 2020)
Brief Synopsis – A Seattle cop tries to stop the corruption in the local police force all on his own.
Bottom Line – John Wayne is fun in this film even if he seems a bit too old for the role. The story moves along at a great pace, but there are very few surprises along the way with both the plot and with the action. The film isn’t very unique in its story and seems to be a carbon copy of so many other police corruption films with just the locale being different. Fun seeing Eddie Albert in a tough guy role. The chase scenes are also great to watch.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Originally intended as a vehicle for Steve McQueen. It was heavily rewritten for John Wayne. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (6/10)
