The Social Dilemma (2020)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“How do you wake up from the Matrix when you don’t know you’re in the Matrix?” – Tristan Harris

Number of Times Seen – 1 (27 Sep 2020)

Brief Synopsis – Documentary about the dangers of social media.

Bottom Line – Amazing film that is able to shock more and more as it unfolds. They are able to give us some superb interviews with numerous creators of various social media outlets that explain the business side of things along with the addictiveness of it all. The way that they have a docudrama embedded into this documentary also work so well in showing the real effect of everything that happens. The way that they present things is done in such a powerful way and they do a wonderful job explaining the real dangers embedded into the various social media platforms that made it so difficult to disconnect. This is definitely a film that I need to watch again and have others watch in order to learn from what they give us here. Highly Recommended!

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – Jeff Orlowski was a heavy Facebook user before making the film. He’s not now. (From IMDB)

Rating –Oscar Worthy (9/10)
