The Theory of Flight (1998)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“Money is a means to an end. Sex is that end.” – Jane

Number of Times Seen – 1 (13 Oct 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A man who must do community service work is given the job of being an aide for a disabled woman who has one dream that she wants fulfilled.

Bottom Line – Very strange concept that is slightly elevated a bit by the performances of Helena Bodham Carter and Kenneth Branagh. The story itself goes into some very unique territory and finds a way to still stay somewhat engaging. The character aren’t developed well enough and in most of what they say or do they feel very one dimensional which is quite unfortunate.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – This was the final film that Gene Siskel reviewed on At the Movies (1986) before his death on February 20, 1999 at the age of 53. (From IMDB)

Rating – BAFTA Worthy (5/10)
