Kajillionaire (2020)

This a Covid-19 2020 minireview!

“[to Old Dolio] When a man gives you wood, anything made of wood, he’s saying, “You give me wood.” ” – Theresa

Number of Times Seen – 1 (18 Oct 2020)

Brief Synopsis – A teenager who grew up with grifter parents tries to find her own place in the world.

Bottom Line – Really strange film that fails to be engaging enough The characters are all far too strange and quirky and in many scenes it seems as if they overplay those kind of things. The cast is quite talented with Evan Rachel Wood, Richard Jenkins and Debra Winger as the three lead roles, but it’s so hard to find a way to connect to these characters.  The story moves into some very strange directions which hurts the film because it all comes across in such a silly and mediocre way throughout.

MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – According to director Miranda July, the choreographed shot at the gas station took about 17 takes. (From IMDB)

Rating – Razzie Worthy (4/10)
