The do a wonderful job of creating a scenario in modern times of how an outbreak could possible occur in our world from a research facility.
In some ways, this story feels even more relevant and realistic in today’s world than it probably was 35 years ago when it was made.
This film does a great job explaining how this kind of thing could plausibly happen and that adds so much to the story as it unfolds.
The film explains the science of the story quite well and it all seems so realistic in the way it is all presented.
The film has a great cast led by Sam Waterson, Kathleen Quinlin, Yaphet Kotto and Jeffrey DeMunn who all are able to create some engaging characters.
The film has some very clever plot points that help make things feel so unique.
With this movie, they are able to say so much about the debate between the pros and cons of dangerous research.
What is quite scary about this film is how much it shows the possibility of such a scenario actually occurring.

The science of the film is shown quite well and comes across in a very realistic fashion. The cats is great with Waterson, Quinlin, Kotto and DeMunn all giving great performances.
