“Win or lose. You have to know that you did everything you could. ” – Ted Cooke
Number of Times Seen – 1 (8 Dec 2020)
Brief Synopsis – A young 12 year old baseball player does all he can in order to help his team make it to the 12 year old World Series.
Bottom Line – Pleasant baseball film that shows how much hard work needs to be put in every day in order to try and succeed in baseball. The way that this kid’s family member deal with his aspirations are quite enjoyable to watch. The overall story tho is a bit too bland and despite a few nice baseball scenes, things aren’t as powerful as one might hope. The film does have a great message that shines through.
MovieRob’s Favorite Trivia – In the Connecticut State Championship Game, Oakwood versus Brighton, the first pitch to the first batter is high and inside almost hitting the batter – Ball 1. Then a strike is thrown – Strike 1. The batter then swings and misses the third pitch and is called out – on only 2 strikes. (From IMDB)
Rating – BAFTA Worthy (6/10)
